Students from Clifton Community School and Wickersley School and Sports College were invited by Rotherham Council to take part in the Holocaust Memorial Service that was held at Clifton Park last week.   The RE Ambassadors got to work on choosing a poem that would be suitable to share at the event. On Saturday, Attendance Manager at The Gainsborough Academy, Mr Wilby competed at the A/BPU Powerlifting Competition, and we’re proud that he came 1st in his category.   He has now been invited to represent Great Britain at the A/WPC in Wroclaw, Poland in June and the Powerlifting Games at the NEC Birmingham in November.    Well done, Mr Wilby!

We are extremely proud that Brinsworth Whitehill Primary School has been accredited with the Rotherham Charter Gold status from Genuine Partnerships and Rotherham Charter for the third time. Since first starting to work with Genuine Partnerships and Rotherham Charter back in 2025, the school has been working hard to provide an exceptional SEN offer, and a safe space to work in close partnership with children and their families. Last Friday, several of our WPT primary schools got into the festive spirit during their Carol Concert service. They were able to experience a live brass ensemble, performed by the wonderful WPT Music staff, as the children sang alongside them. All the children have worked incredibly hard to learn all the songs, and everyone had a fantastic time.   Well done to all those involved!

Last month, Foljambe Primary School turned 70! The school first opened its doors back in 1954, and to celebrate its 70th anniversary, students were given an assembly on the history of Foljambe, with Mrs Lawery showing them some of the original documents from its grand opening. On Wednesday 4th December, as part of our Wellbeing Wednesday initiative, staff from the Trust were invited to take part in the WPT Wreath Making to create their own wreath for the festive season!   Over 230 colleagues from our 13 schools and central team took part – making this our most attended wellbeing event so far! Staff were provided with their own wire ring, moss, greenery and some embellishments
