2024 marked a decade since Wickersley School and Sports College academised and WPT was formed. This milestone year has been one of celebration, culminating in our biggest-ever, cross-Trust collaboration – the WPT is 10 Showcase!
On Tuesday 12th November, over 300 students from across Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT) took to the stage at Magna Science Adventure Centre to play their part in the celebrations.
The event had three showings throughout the day, with performances of:
The Princess and the Frog – Wickersley School and Sports College’s pantomime
The Climb – WPT Primary Schools (KS1)
What Was I Made For? (From Barbie) – Clifton Community School dance
For Good – Wickersley School and Sports College vocals
Elf Jr The Musical – The Gainsborough Academy Christmas Show
Hall of Fame – WPT Primary Schools (KS2)
Cheerleading – Wickersley School and Sports College
Tema Popular De Brasil – Wickersley School and Sports College guitar duet
SIX The Musical – Rawmarsh Community School production
Cinderella – Thrybergh Academy pantomime
Bohemian Rhapsody – Brinsworth Whitehill Primary School KS2 soloist
The Greatest Showman – WPT Young Voices Choir
After months of dedicated practice and rehearsals, all the students involved did themselves, their schools, and our whole Trust community proud!
As well as the on-stage performances, attendees were treated to a WPT Art Gallery; a display of Design Technology talents; the history of WPT; an assortment of WPT Alumni and a display of the WPT School Report.
