School Investment

At the heart of Wickersley Partnership Trust’s educational philosophy lies a steadfast commitment to nurturing excellence in teaching and learning. We firmly believe that the physical environment plays a pivotal role in fostering this excellence. As an educational establishment, we invest in our buildings strategically to create the most conducive and inspiring spaces for our students and colleagues.

We understand that high-quality teaching and learning thrives in environments that are purposefully designed, safe, and technologically advanced. It is this belief in the transformative power of well-equipped and thoughtfully crafted spaces that drives us to continuously invest in our facilities, ensuring that our students have access to the best possible environments to pursue their educational journeys.

Rawmarsh Community School

In April 2022 we officially opened the doors to the new block at Rawmarsh Community School.

RCS New Build

The new block, spread over two floors, houses 10 brand new classrooms (including one multi-use double-sized classroom).

The new block was much needed due to the rapid rise in student numbers at Rawmarsh over the previous four years.

Arran Hill Centre

Thanks to an investment of almost £150k, a disused external block at Thrybergh Academy was transformed into a brand new SEMH provision. The Arran Hill Centre, which is home to students from across the Trust with needs that mean they are unable to access mainstream classrooms, benefited from work which included:

  • Dividing the existing building up into eight classrooms with one dedicated to Art, one for DT and one for cookery classes
  • New heating boiler and water heater
  • Installation of two new toilets, one being a disabled toilet
  • New fire alarm, LED and emergency lighting and access system installation
  • Decoration and flooring replaced throughout
  • An external area for construction classes such as bricklaying
  • A Multi Use Games Area for outdoor sports
  • Artificial grass for a more relaxed seating / learning space
  • Gardening area with a number of raised beds
