Last Friday, several of our WPT primary schools got into the festive spirit during their Carol Concert service. They were able to experience a live brass ensemble, performed by the wonderful WPT Music staff, as the children sang alongside them. The school first opened its doors back in 1954, and to celebrate its 70th anniversary, students were given an assembly on the history of Foljambe, with Mrs Lawery showing them some of the original documents from its grand opening. On Wednesday 23rd October, as part of our weekly Wellbeing Wednesday initiative, staff from our Rotherham schools were invited to carve their own pumpkin for Halloween!   Over 150 colleagues from the 12 schools and central team were given their own carving set to try and design a spooky pumpkin, that was provided for them.   All the staff who took part had a spook-tacular time, and got very creative

Last week, we celebrated European Day of Languages across the Trust. The schools had a variety of activities to get everyone involved. On Wednesday 10th July, a selected group of Y6s, Y7s, Y8s and Y9s attended the MAT Sports Day from Wickersley, Clifton, Rawmarsh and Thrybergh. On Wednesday 21st February, the Rotherham School Games team hosted the first ever NFL Flag Football Training Day with the help of NFL UK at the Cranworth Campus. The day saw 14 members of staff come down and learn all the elements of Flag Football, allowing them to then pass on their knowledge and skills learnt within their primary schools.
