Last week, we held our WPT Y11 Careers Fair once again. We welcomed students from across our Rotherham schools to explore the wide range of Post-16 and career pathways available to them. The event was buzzing with activity throughout the day, with students engaging directly with a wide range of providers including colleges, universities, the armed forces, public sector organisations and private sector employers. All schools across our Trust have now received specialist Bleed Kits, generously donated by our long-standing partner, First Aid Schools. These kits offer vital support in the event of a major injury, enabling immediate intervention while waiting for emergency services. On Thursday 6th November, Student Council members from each school within Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT) came together at Rawmarsh Community School for a special meeting with WPT Leaders. Over the last few weeks, students and staff from our secondary schools have been lacing up their trainers for one of our favourite annual traditions – the Sponsored Walk! Each school planned its own route, taking in local landmarks and scenic spots – with some walking 10 miles! Rawmarsh Ashwood Primary School students are continuing to make a difference in the community through a long-standing partnership with Broadacres Care Home. The partnership started back in 2020 at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, when Ashwood students became pen pals with residents who were unable to receive visitors due to lockdown restrictions.
