As another academic year draws to a close, secondary schools across our Trust have marked a significant milestone in their Y11 journey recently – Prom Night! Each school hosted a memorable event for our students and staff to come together to reflect on five years of learning and growth, and to celebrate the achievements of this year’s cohort. This summer, all Rotherham schools across the Trust took part in an extraordinary nine-day journey, in the form of the Children’s Capital of Culture Baton Relay. As part of our Enrichment and Entitlement Promise, Year 9 Drama students from across the Trust came together for our first ever joint Drama residential trip – enjoying two enriching days in London, filled with a range of cultural and educational experiences. Recently, our Careers Team were invited by the National Horseracing College to attend a VIP event at Doncaster Racecourse. This year, for the first time, our WPT Residentials 2025 students took part in a hike in the Peak District. This week, primary schools across WPT attended Rotherham One Voice. The event was organised in collaboration between Children’s Capital of Culture and Rotherham Music. As Rotherham is the first Children’s Capital of Culture, children sung songs designed to express who they are, and where they come from.
