On Wednesday 4th December, as part of our Wellbeing Wednesday initiative, staff from the Trust were invited to take part in the WPT Wreath Making to create their own wreath for the festive season! Over 230 colleagues from our 13 schools and central team took part – making this our most attended wellbeing event so far! Staff were provided with their own wire ring, moss, greenery and some embellishments
Last week, we held our WPT Y11 Careers Fair at our Cranworth Road site, for Rotherham students across the Trust to come down and get a taste of the Post-16 and career opportunities available to them after they leave school. 2024 marked a decade since Wickersley School and Sports College academised and WPT was formed. This milestone year has been one of celebration, culminating in our biggest-ever, cross-Trust collaboration – the WPT is 10 Showcase! On Wednesday 23rd October, as part of our weekly Wellbeing Wednesday initiative, staff from our Rotherham schools were invited to carve their own pumpkin for Halloween! Over 150 colleagues from the 12 schools and central team were given their own carving set to try and design a spooky pumpkin, that was provided for them. A student from Monkwood Primary School has successfully raised over £1000 (and counting!) for Macmillan Cancer Support by hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning at the family home. What a fantastic achievement – well done!
Clifton student, Mason, has gone above and beyond for his team and his country, placing 3rd and receiving a Bronze Medal in points fight at the World Games! On Wednesday 2nd October the Rotherham School Games Team, in partnership with Panathlon, hosted two Ten Pin Bowling Festivals at Hollywood Bowl in Sheffield. The events saw 25 Rotherham Primary schools attend including four of our Trust Schools, Aston Hall, Aston Lodge, Rawmarsh Ashwood and Brinsworth Whitehill. 142 children had the opportunity to test out their bowling skills, resulting in a combined score of over 11,104 points and five new
