Mr Shaw Runs the London Marathon A huge congratulations to Mr Shaw from The Gainsborough Academy who ran and completed the London Marathon yesterday in aid of pancreatic cancer. He completed the marathon in a fantastic time of 4 hours and 56 minutes! Well done, Mr Shaw! Over the holidays, we held our fifth WPT Easter Competition, which was open to all students across Wickersley Partnership Trust. To enter the competition, our students had to get creative and send us an Easter themed piece of artwork, a selfie, a photo, or a design. As always, we had some fantastic entries, and our judges had an extremely hard job of choosing the top 5! But
We are extremely proud that Josh Bartle, Assistant Headteacher at Clifton Community School, has been shortlisted as a Finalist in the ‘Teacher of the Year in a Secondary School’ category in The Pearson National Teaching Awards 2025. The Don Valley Festival 2025, is a community event that has a strong emphasis on young talent and creativity in Doncaster and beyond. On the 26th March, as part of our Wellbeing Wednesday initiative, staff from across Wickersley Partnership Trust were invited to our WPT Easter Staff Wellbeing Event, to make their own Easter Egg Cheesecake! Monday 10th to Friday 14th March was the first ever Rotherham Girls Week. The aim was to get as many girls active as possible, especially within the community.
