Last night, prospective students and their families stepped inside our Trust’s secondary schools for our annual Open Evenings. The events provided a fantastic opportunity for our local communities to experience the warm, inclusive environments that define each of our schools and discover the wide-ranging opportunities awaiting our next cohort.
Visitors explored interactive subject displays, live demonstrations and hands-on activities including Science experiments, creative showcases in the Arts, PE sessions and tech demos. Each school offered an insight into our ambitious curriculum and engaging enrichment programmes – both designed to help students succeed academically, socially and personally.
Our schools received some wonderful feedback:
“It’s a really big school! All the subjects we saw looked really interesting – especially all the projects we saw in Design & Technology. I’m looking forward to getting to do sports too.” – William, Y6 student
“The best bit was getting to try all the experiments and seeing all of the big classrooms. It made me really excited to come here next year.” – Sophie, Y6 student
“It was great to properly look around and chat with the teachers. You can see how much care goes into the school and the current students showing us around were brilliant.” – Y6 parent
Everything visitors experienced during these Open Evening stems from our core Trust commitment: ensuring that every student leaves us able and qualified to play their full part in an ever-changing world. These values – embedded through our individual “School Ways” – build independence, responsibility, and resilience into both everyday lessons and extra-curricular life.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to meet our staff, explore our facilities and get a taste of life within Wickersley Partnership Trust. If you were unable to attend or have any further questions about admissions for the 2027/28 academic year, please reach out to your school of interest.
We look forward to welcoming many of the students back during our summer transition and rollover events next year!
