After investing in a number of building works, we’re proud to open our new building – the Brunswick Centre – which will be the new home for our additional resource provision, formerly known as the Cranworth Centre.
This facility has been designed to create a purpose-built environment that meets the needs of SEND students from across Wickersley Partnership Trust schools who benefit from a more personalised and flexible approach to education. As part of our Trust’s ongoing commitment to high-quality, inclusive SEND provision, the Brunswick Centre provides a welcoming, supportive space where students can access learning tailored to their individual needs – helping them to build confidence, develop new skills and continue to make strong progress outside of mainstream education.
Inside the new building, a range of specialist rooms supports different learning needs. This includes a sensory room, cooking room, English, Maths and Science classrooms, an Art room and an assembly space that brings students together for group activities and celebrations. A new construction room is also part of the development which, when completed, will offer students hands‑on opportunities to explore practical skills in a safe, structured environment.
The Cranworth Centre has supported students for several years, but it had become clear that a more intentional, fully equipped environment was needed. The new Brunswick Centre brings much of this hands‑on learning in‑house, allowing students to benefit from specialised Trust teachers, specialist spaces and resources designed specifically to improve their learning experiences.
