Last Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, Year 6 pupils from all of our primary schools came together to celebrate the end of their primary school journey at the WPT Primary Prom 2026!
As part of our wider transition programme, our Y6 Prom aims to help our students from different primary schools build relationships to ease their move to their secondary school. It also gives our students the chance to spend time together as a year group before moving into Y7.
The students were also able to reunite with friends they have made on the WPT Residential – another core transition experience provided by WPT to ease the move on to secondary education.
The Prom was a fantastic culmination of their primary school experience, filled with games, dancing, food, and fun. The children had a wonderful evening and were able to capture special moments with friends in the photobooth.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the school staff, The CopyCat Party Company for their outstanding entertainment, and the WPT Central Team for organising and delivering this memorable, cost-free event for our Year 6 children. It was a fitting celebration that created lasting memories and supported a smooth, positive transition to the next stage of their education.
