Primary students across the Trust have all taken part in the TEKK Challenge as part of their in-classroom learning. This was in collaboration with Business & Education Together TEKK Challenge and HSBC.
This year’s challenge was to build playground equipment using a set list of resources and clear expectations.
Lead event organiser Carl Alford, HSBC commented: “Through the TEKK Challenge, HSBC volunteers have supported over 150 students, learning practical STEM skills and pushing themselves to experience new activities that are extremely important when they enter the world of work.
“It was amazing to see the students grow in confidence throughout the Challenge and it was our pleasure to host the final in our Sheffield Headquarters as we brought together the 7 finalist teams.
“The quality of all the schools’ entries were extremely high, which made the judges roles particularly hard, and is a testament to all the efforts of the students and teaching staff.”
