WPT Celebrates Strong GCSE Results

We’re delighted to share that Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT) has seen a fantastic set of GCSE results this year, with Clifton Community School (CCS) and Thrybergh Academy (TA) achieving their highest‑ever outcomes.

These results reflect the hard work happening across our Trust to strengthen teaching, curriculum delivery and targeted support for our students.

At CCS, Attainment 8 rose to 36.7, up from 29.4 in 2025, and 31.9% of students achieved a strong pass (Grade 5+) in English and Maths – a huge increase from last year’s 18.1%. 47.1% achieved a standard pass (Grade 4+). We also saw encouraging improvements across other subjects, with MFL Grade 4+ passes rising to 50% and Science Grade 4+ reaching 51.9%.

TA also secured its best-ever GCSE results. Attainment 8 climbed to 34.5, up from 28.7 in 2025, and 22.8% of students achieved a strong pass (Grade 5+) in English and Maths – almost double last year’s figure. Geography Grade 4+ passes surged to 75%, and MFL Grade 4+ also reached 75%, showing real strength across the curriculum.

Rawmarsh Community School (RCS) reported solid subject outcomes, with Attainment 8 rising to 40.1. Science Grade 4+ outcomes reached 67.9%, one of the highest Science results across the Trust, and Geography Grade 4+ passes reached 48.2%, reinforcing strong delivery across humanities.

Wickersley School and Sports College (WSSC) remained our highest‑performing school overall, continuing to deliver excellent results across core subjects. Highlights include Attainment 8 at 48.7, English & Maths Grade 4+ at 72.2%, Maths Grade 4+ climbing to 80.1%, and Science Grade 4+ leading the Trust at 81.0%.

Helen O’Brien, CEO of Wickersley Partnership Trust, said: “Our students and staff have worked extremely hard this year and it’s fantastic to see this reflected in the results achieved. I am so proud of the progress being made across the Trust and the commitment shown by colleagues across all our schools. These results give us a strong platform to build on as we continue to focus on delivering high‑quality education and Trust‑wide interventions so every child can reach their full potential. Well done to all.”

Across WPT, these outcomes show clear progress and highlight the impact of consistent standards, shared practice and focused improvement work in every school.

Huge congratulations to the Class of 2026 – you should be extremely proud!
