Across our secondary schools, the final weeks of term have been filled with pride and celebration as students, staff and families came together for this year’s End of Year Award and Celebration Assemblies.
These events offered a wonderful opportunity to recognise the achievements, character and commitment shown by our young people throughout this academic year.
Each assembly highlighted the many ways our students have excelled – academically, personally and within their school communities. The awards reflected the values at the heart of The School Ways, celebrating independence, responsibility and resilience in action.
Some of the awards handed out were:
- Individual Subject Awards
- Attendance
- Embodying the School Ways
- Outstanding Effort
What stood out this year was the confidence and maturity shown by students across all year groups. Their achievements demonstrate not only academic success but also the development of strong learning habits, positive relationships and a commitment to making their schools welcoming, supportive places to learn.
Within Wickersley Partnership Trust, praise and recognition play a central role in our vision for student development. We are committed to promoting excellence across all aspects of school life – academic achievement, personal growth and positive contributions to the wider community. By celebrating these qualities, we help students build confidence, develop strong learning characteristics and understand the value of living by The School Ways.
The End of Year Awards Assemblies exemplify this commitment. They provide a chance to acknowledge the progress students have made throughout the year and to reinforce the principles that guide our Trust. Each award presented reflects our belief that success is multifaceted and that every student has the potential to achieve and contribute in their own unique way.
A huge well done to all of our award winners. You have set an exceptional example for others to follow.
