Recently, Wickersley Partnership Trust was proud to support the Rotherham School Games Festival of Sport, which this year was held in partnership with Rotherham Day to celebrate everything that makes our borough such a great place.
The event welcomed around 300 primary school pupils, who enjoyed a fantastic range of sports and activities delivered by local clubs and organisations. It was a brilliant opportunity for children to try something new, stay active, and have fun.
A special thank you goes to our WPT Outdoor Team, who stepped in at short notice to deliver an engaging team-building activity, and to the Wickersley School & Sports College Year 9 Sports Leaders, who did an outstanding job supporting the event. Their enthusiasm and leadership made a real difference, providing fantastic role models for the younger pupils throughout the day.
We would also like to thank everyone involved in organising and delivering such a successful event, as well as Matt Stothard and Places Leisure, whose generous support means every participant received a Rotherham Day wristband, giving them access to free activities at Rotherham leisure facilities in the lead-up to Rotherham Day.
It was a fantastic celebration of sport, teamwork, and community, and we are delighted to have been part of it!
