Schools from across our Trust are proudly taking part in the Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity Pride of Yorkshire sculpture trail, a public art event celebrating 150 years of Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Alongside designing our lion cubs, our school communities have taken part in other fundraisers and have collectively raised over £8,900 for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity through sponsorship and fundraising activities, helping to support the hospital’s life-changing work.
We are delighted that our school lion cubs are now on display at some of South Yorkshire’s most popular visitor attractions, giving families the opportunity to discover and celebrate the creativity of our pupils.
Where to Find Our Lion Cubs:
- Brinsworth Whitehill Primary School – Magna Science Adventure Centre
- Clifton Community School – Clifton Park Museum
- Aston Hall Junior and Infant School – Meadowhall
- Aston Lodge Primary School – Meadowhall
- Monkwood Primary School – Rotherham Leisure Complex
- Rawmarsh Sandhill Primary School – Rotherham Leisure Complex
Our pupils have worked incredibly hard to design and create their lion cubs, and we are immensely proud to see their artwork displayed throughout South Yorkshire. Our students worked hard on their designs and are very excited to see them in the wild.
We encourage all our families, staff and local communities to visit the trail over the summer, seek out our lion cubs, and share photos of their discoveries. Not only is it a great way to spend time together, but it also supports the important work of Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, helping to make a difference to the lives of children and young people across the region. The Pride of Yorkshire trail officially launched on 8 June and will run until 8 September, giving you plenty of time to seek out our lion cubs this summer.
