Schools across our Trust have come together in an inspiring show of creativity and community spirit to support the Pride of Yorkshire fundraiser in aid of Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.
To date, we have collectively raised an incredible £8,700 so far, and donations are still coming in!
This project has seen students across several of our schools take part in the Pride of Yorkshire campaign, most notably by painting their own lion cubs. Each cub reflects the imagination and effort of our students, helping to bring lots of colour and character to the campaign.
Alongside involvement in art, Monkwood Primary School and Aston Hall Junior & Infant School also organised their own fundraising events. Monkwood took part in a Sponsored Safari Treasure Hunt, combining teamwork, problem-solving and outdoor adventure to raise vital funds. At Aston Hall, staff and students joined forces for a sponsored danceathon – dancing throughout the day in neon colours – to support the cause.
The completed lion cubs will form part of a spectacular display this summer in Sheffield City Centre, where they will be showcased as part of the Pride of Yorkshire trail, attracting visitors across the region.
Funds raised through this project will support the ongoing work of Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity, helping to provide vital care, equipment and support for children and families when they need it most.
Well done, everyone!
