Bleed Kits Donation

All schools across our Trust have now received specialist Bleed Kits, generously donated by our long-standing partner, First Aid Schools. These kits offer vital support in the event of a major injury, enabling immediate intervention while waiting for emergency services.

This donation marks another important step in our ongoing commitment to keeping students, staff, and visitors safe.

Beyond providing equipment, our partnership with First Aid Schools plays a key role in shaping our First Aid curriculum and community training. Together, we’ve developed an innovative, sustainable programme that spans both primary and secondary phases, giving all students, staff, and parents or carers the opportunity to take part in practical First Aid training.

Last year alone:

➡️ 7,000+ students received First Aid instruction

➡️ 150 staff members undertook training

➡️ 136 parents / carers gained First Aid skills

These numbers reflect only part of a longer-term vision: embedding First Aid knowledge across all age groups and settings, not just in schools but in homes and communities.

Kate Rushforth, Assets and Compliance Lead at WPT, said: “We’re so grateful to the team at First Aid Schools for their generous donation of bleed kits to all of our schools. Their continued support and partnership really does make a difference – not only through this donation, but through the quality First Aid training they deliver year after year. It’s been fantastic working closely with the team to organise sessions that help our students, staff and families have the knowledge and confidence to act in an emergency.”

Thank you once again to First Aid Schools for the donation and ongoing support.
