Last week, families and prospective students had the opportunity to step inside our Trust’s secondary schools during our Open Evenings. It was a chance for our local community to explore the welcoming and supportive communities that define each of our schools, and to see firsthand the learning environments and wide-ranging opportunities we have available.
Visitors enjoyed interactive subject displays, engaging lessons and hands-on demonstrations – from Science experiments and Creative Arts showcases to PE sessions and ICT activities. Each school offered a glimpse into the ambitious curriculum and enrichment programmes that help our students grow academically, socially and personally.
It was also fantastic to hear feedback from our visitors:
“My favourite part has been seeing how big the school is and I’ve liked seeing PE and ICT. I’m excited to join and I’m a bit nervous too, but all my friends are coming.” – Jack, Y6, Bramley Grange Primary School
“I’ve been impressed by the school so far. I haven’t been in a secondary school for a long time and there’s so much to engage with. I really like that there’s a three-day transition period in the summer too.” – Jack’s mum
“It’s big – there’ll be lots of classes that I’ll like. I’ve loved looking at the work of other students, especially the Macbeth displays in English. I think my favourite subject at secondary school is going to be Art.” – Ava, Y6, Bramley Sunnyside Junior School
As a Trust, we’re committed to ensuring that students leave our schools able and qualified to play their full part in an ever-changing world. Our values and “Schools Ways” promote independence, responsibility and resilience, and are embedded throughout our classrooms and enrichment activities – helping students build a happy and successful life beyond secondary school.
We’d like to thank everyone who came along to meet staff, expereience lessons and see everything that we have on offer. If you weren’t able to attend, or still have questions, please reach out to your school of interest for more information.
We’re looking forward to welcoming many of the students we met last week during next year’s Rollover events!
