On Friday 26th September, all primary schools across Wickersley Partnership Trust proudly took part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning – an incredible nationwide event that unites communities in raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Across Rotherham, our school communities came together to support this important cause. Parents and children were greeted with hot drinks and tasty treats, setting a warm and welcoming tone for the day.
The fundraising fun then continued inside, with each school hall transformed into a hub of laughter, conversation, and of course, delicious cakes! Families were invited to sit together, enjoy a tea or coffee and take a moment to chat with staff in a relaxed setting. It was a wonderful opportunity for parents, carers and children to spend time together while contributing to a cause that touches so many lives.
We are truly grateful for the generosity shown across all of our schools – whether donations came in the form of cash, online contributions or home-baked cakes shared with friends. Thanks to this collective effort, our WPT primary schools raised over £700 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Every penny will help the charity continue its invaluable work providing care and support to people living with cancer and their families.
Well done and thank you to everyone involved – from the staff who organised, to the families who attended, and our students who helped make the event such a success. Together, we’ve once again shown the power of community spirit and the real difference we can make when we come together for an important cause.
