On Thursday 15th May, the WPT Young Musician 2025 final was held, in which finalists from across our Trust schools competed in categories by performing to a panel of external adjudicators. With two shows featuring some of our primary and secondary singers and instrumentalists, it was an amazing display of the outstanding talent we have across WPT.
The adjudicators were:
- Toby Smith (Head of Rotherham Music Hub/Service)
- Rob Bellis (Curriculum Lead for Music at the University Centre Rotherham)
- Sarah Potts (Musician and Music teacher)
The winners were:
- Primary Beginner – Ilana (Y6, Aston Hall Primary School)
- Primary Intermediate – Michalina (Y6, Aston Hall Primary School)
- Secondary Beginner – Maizie (Y8, Rawmarsh Community School
- Secondary Intermediate Instrumentalist – Shaula (Y11, Rawmarsh Community School)
- Secondary Intermediate Vocalist – Lucy (Y8, Rawmarsh Community School)
- Secondary Advanced Instrumentalist – Riley (Y9, Rawmarsh Community School)
- Secondary Advanced Vocalist – Jessica (Y10, Rawmarsh Community School)
- Overall Winner – Finley (Y10, Clifton Community School)
