On Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th, the Rotherham School Games Team hosted four Gymnastics Festivals at Phoenix Gymnastics Academy.
The festivals were attended by over 180 children, from 19 schools across Rotherham. The children attending were given the opportunity to try different types of gymnastics events, such as: Trampolining, Rings, Bars, Tumble Track, Vaulting and Beam work.
Ross Inglis, School Games Organiser, said: “For the majority of the children, it was the first time they had stepped into a fully functioning gym while trying activities they had never done before; which allowed them to learn and test their new skills.
A big thank you to Phoenix Gymnastics Academy for hosting us over the two days, as well as providing coaches in order to make sure the children received the best support possible. Participants were also given a free taster session at the Academy to return and continue their gymnastics journey.
Well done, everyone!”
