CLERK TO GOVERNORS

To commence 1st May 2019 or as soon as possible.

Salary:  Band G £12.37 – 13.72 per hour (increasing to £12.85 – £13.99 from 1st April 2019)

225 hours per year (allocated five hours per meeting (preparation of agenda and papers, attendance at the meeting and production of minutes). Hours may increase in the future dependant on the needs of the Trust.

Wickersley Partnership Trust are initially recruiting a Clerk to the Governing Bodies of 5 our primary schools to support 9 Local Governing Body meetings per school, per year.

The Clerk to the Governors is responsible for providing advice to the Local Governing Body on constitution, governance and procedural matters; effective administrative support; and managing information effectively in accordance with legal requirements.

You will work closely with Chairs of Governors and senior members of the leadership team in the Trust to agree priorities and objectives and how they can be best achieved. It is an interesting role sitting at the heart of each Local Governing Body, and can really add value to the smooth running and effectiveness of them.

Day time and evening work is required in attending Local Governing Body meetings at:

  • Aston Hall Junior & Infant School
  • Brinsworth Whitehill Primary
  • Rawmarsh Ashwood Primary
  • Rawmarsh Sandhill Primary
  • Thrybergh Primary
