Peripatetic Music Lessons

In 2019, the Trust implemented their own peripatetic music service ensuring value for money and high quality teaching. We currently have over 200 pupils having individual 20 minute lessons each week across the primary and secondary schools.

Lessons are offered from foundation stage through to KS5 on a variety of woodwind, brass, string, percussion instruments and vocals. Peripatetic teachers support music departments in the preparation of internal and external exams.

WPT Music Events

WPT Christmas Concert

Singers and musicians from across the trust came together for the first time at Christmas to put on the Wickersley Partnership Trust Christmas Concert; which was held at Magna. We had over 130 pupils performing and a sell-out audience of over 350. This was the first time many of the pupils had performed on stage or played as part of a band.

Young Voices

Each year the primary schools in the Trust take part in Young Voices with the numbers of pupils participating growing each year. Preparation for the event is done through the Trust music teachers or extracurricular choirs.
