Anti-Bullying

Bullying of any kind is totally unacceptable.

Wickersley Partnership Trust is committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all its students, so they can learn in a calm, safe and secure atmosphere. The Trust has the highest expectations of student conduct and strives to create a climate in which all students can grow in self-confidence and self-esteem and fulfil their potential.

Should bullying occur, all students know that incidents will be dealt with promptly and effectively.

WPT students are taught that any kind of aggressive behaviour, either verbal or physical is unacceptable and incidents of bullying are always treated seriously.

Students are taught that as well as having rights, the choices they make also bring responsibilities and accountability.

The Trust expects that, if bullying does happen, those involved and anyone else who is a witness or bystander will be able to inform a member of School staff in safety.

WPT’s anti-bullying policy provides a carefully considered and robust process to tackle bullying should it occur in our schools. It raises the awareness of the signs of bullying amongst staff (training) and students (PSHE curriculum) and outlines clear procedures and reporting systems.

All WPT schools focus on work to prevent bullying, including the promotion anti-bullying week annually.
