Year 11 Coordinator
About the role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Maths to join our department. You will be expected to work across the Trust and share our commitment to raising standards, expectations and instilling a passion for learning for all. The posts are equally suitable for ECTs as well as experienced teachers, and offers an excellent opportunity to receive support through our comprehensive ECT and CPD programme.
- To teach engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and improve pupil attainment, modelling outstanding practice
- To ensure high standards of teaching and learning in order to continue the drive to raise standards of attainment and ensure all students make excellent progress
- To ensure high standards of student behaviour, in line with the school policy and procedures.
- Fulfil the professional responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document (STPCD)
- The year / key stage subject coordinator will be responsible for providing leadership and management of the subjects curriculum, delivering high-quality teaching and effectively using resources. They will work to improve learning standards and achievement for all pupils, while also carrying out their duties as a classroom teacher
- As a subject coordinator, they will contribute to whole-subject self-evaluation and improvement planning, and be responsible for mentoring and developing staff within the subject. They will offer guidance and support to subject teaching staff, modelling best practices and showing up-to-date knowledge of current theory and practice
- The subject coordinator will be expected to fulfil the responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the STPCD, including planning and teaching lessons, assessing pupils’ progress, and managing behaviour effectively
