About the role

As CFO you will be an integral part of our senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will have ultimate responsibility for the proper financial conduct of the Trust, being accountable for extremely large budgets across the MAT. You will also be responsible for the provision of strategic financial advice, leading, developing and coordinating all aspects of the Trust’s financial management, including developing, embedding and maintaining strong financial control framework, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory and policy compliance.

Whilst managing the finance team effectively, you will contribute to strategy and policy development to support the Trust’s aims and objectives, will ensure the provision of management information for the Trust’s planning and monitoring systems, and ensure the completion of statistical returns to external agencies.

Our ideal candidate will have ACIB or equivalent, proven experience over an extensive period in financial management, preferably in the education sector or a comparable organisation and excellent management and leadership qualities.
