Technology Technician - Level 3
About the role
An exciting role for a Technology Technician Level 3 has become available at Rawmarsh Community School. We have a superb set of facilities that allow us to teach a hugely diverse range of subject areas. Any prospective technician would need to have a good knowledge of the resources and equipment we use within the teaching classrooms or be willing to undertake separate bespoke training that will help to fulfil their role.
Technical staff have responsibility in the faculty to work with the Faculty Leader and the Heads of Department to support the planning and delivery of the specific subjects. You will be responsible for the upkeep and repair / daily maintenance of the equipment and resources, as well as completing weekly Health and Safety checks.
The ideal candidate must have a strong desire to work with students of all abilities and to make a difference. There is an expectation that you will work with small cohorts of pupils and help them to develop the skills required to pass their respective courses on a regular basis.
Excellent time keeping skills and a friendly, supportive nature are essential to the role, as is working closely with the teaching staff. As well as working directly within the faculty supporting teaching and learning, you will also have a role in whole school maintenance as and when required. This work is managed through the Head of Faculty and Senior Leaders in the school.
As you can see the role is vast and is pivotal to the faculty continuing to grow and stay at the top of its game.
