About the role
We are looking to appoint a Healthcare Assistant to work at Magna Lane Centre, a Social, Emotional and Mental Health classroom based at Foljambe Primary School, which provides therapeutic intervention for children from across our Trust primary schools. The successful candidate will work with a team of professionals to provide therapeutic and curriculum support within the centre and as outreach in home schools. They will provide intimate care and support children with Education and Health Care Plans and those with additional health needs. They will be responsible for liaising with relevant professionals and maintaining record keeping and safeguarding as required.
Our ideal candidates will be able to promote positive behaviour and suggest and implement activities which will help develop students’ social skills and self-discipline. You should enjoy working with young people and have good communication skills. A minimum of Mathematics and English GCSE grade 4/C is required and a Teaching Assistant qualification would be an advantage.
