WPT Activity Camp – the place to be this summer!

This summer, Wickersley Partnership Trust launched its first Activity Camp provision.

This first iteration of the Activity Camp focused on water sports and attendees experienced four different disciplines including sailing, kayaking and rowing – all for just £12.50 a day!

Between Monday 24th July and Thursday 28th July, the Trust welcomed 137 children from across Rotherham and Gainsborough to Ulley Country Park.

As part of the Trust’s aim to operate at the heart of the community, the Activity Camp was not limited to those children who attend a WPT school.

Across the four days, 28 different local schools’ students were on the water as part of the provision.

Here’s what some parents had to say:

“My child enjoyed all of the activities that she took part in and was non-stop talking about it in the car on the way home.”
“The staff were very welcoming and friendly, making the day full of fun and laughter.”
“She said it was amazing and loved every minute of it - money well spent for me. I went to watch and everyone looked like they were having a great time, my younger two can’t wait to be old enough to have a go.”
“Thank you for providing the experience, we really appreciate it!”

The Trust will be hosting similar events during each school holiday (excluding Christmas), with each camp having a different theme including archery, climbing, dance, orienteering and watersports.

Keep an eye out for further details coming in the new school year, and remember to book early to avoid disappointment. We look forward to seeing your child soon!
