WPT Secondary Schools Celebrate European Languages Week

WPT Secondary Schools Celebrate European Languages Week

In the last week in the MFL Departments across Wickersley Partnership Trust, we have been celebrating European Languages Week.

There has been a number of activities going on around our schools, which have celebrated cultural diversity and enrichment.

Each day, teachers around our schools have organised activities where students can develop their language skills and broaden their cultural horizons. Our WPT students have enjoyed French, Spanish, German and Italian food tasting, beginner German and Italian lessons, MFL karaoke, Mexican Day of the Dead crafts and an MFL inspired bake off… just to name a few events.

In form tutor time, students even completed an escape room in which they learnt about the importance of languages as well as learn some key language skills. This gave students an opportunity to gain a pledge by learning a greeting in five different languages throughout the week.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all students who took part!

Here are just a few photos from the events that have taken place.
